Acta Biochimica Indonesiana applies an Article Processing Charge (APC) to manuscripts accepted for publication. The journal does not charge any submission fees, and all manuscript types are subject to the same publication fee.

1. Article Processing Charges (APC)

The publication fees are as follows:

The APC is charged only after a manuscript has been formally accepted for publication.

2. Payment Procedure

Following manuscript acceptance and completion of the author proofreading stage, an official invoice will be issued to the corresponding author.

The corresponding author is responsible for completing the payment before the article is published. Payment instructions and relevant details will be provided with the invoice.

3. APC Waiver Policy

Acta Biochimica Indonesiana recognizes that financial circumstances may limit authors' ability to cover publication costs. Authors may therefore request a full or partial waiver of the Article Processing Charge.

Waiver requests must be submitted through a formal letter addressed to the Editor-in-Chief, clearly explaining:

• The scientific significance and potential contribution of the submitted research.

• The circumstances that justify the request for financial assistance.

All waiver requests must be submitted and evaluated before the peer-review process begins.

The decision to approve or decline a waiver request rests with the editorial team and is made at its discretion.

4. Editorial Independence

Requests for publication fee waivers are considered separately from the scientific evaluation of submitted manuscripts. Editorial decisions are based on the manuscript's scientific quality, originality, relevance, and compliance with the journal's publication standards.
